    Sleep Essentials

The Talalay latex pillows from Brooklyn Bedding may be a good choice for side sleepers because they got above-average scores on that test. They’re a bit subpar for back sleepers, though. But these pillows got top marks for breathability, so they should help with temperature control while you sleep.

Why it’s a good deal: This is the standard discount for this pillow.

    Philips SmartSleep Wake-up Light HF3520/60

With the Philips SmartSleep Wake-Up Light, you can wake up to one of five nature sounds or an FM radio. According to the manufacturer’s description, the clock glows with red, orange, and yellow colors that ultimately brighten to a maximum intensity of 300 lux (a measure of illuminance an object produces). You can adjust brightness levels according to your preference. Pressing snooze will temporarily shut off the sound alarm but not the light, which may keep you from falling back asleep (a good thing, if you truly want to wake up). The SmartSleep is pretty easy to set up and use, receiving high marks in both categories. Those needing help winding down at bedtime will also find the Philips wake-up light worth it for its simulated sunset feature.

Why it’s a good deal: This is the standard sale price for this wake-up light alarm clock.

    Bluetooth and Smart Speakers

The latest orblike Amazon Echo tops its predecessor, the classic cylindrical Echo, in a number of important ways. The sonics are significantly improved, with a strong but slightly boomy bass and enough volume to fill a midsized room. Our testers also found that two Echo speakers sound good when paired in stereo, delivering you-are-there appeal.

Why it’s a good deal: This is the usual sale price, but it’s not discounted often, so take advantage while it’s on sale.

The Clip 4 is hardly the best-sounding speaker we’ve tested, but it does have two important things going for it: It’s inexpensive and it’s small. The tiny speaker fits easily into your palm and features a carabiner that can clip onto a backpack or a beach bag. JBL claims an IP67 rating, which means the speaker is both water-resistant and dustproof. Our testers found the Clip 4 to be easy to pair, and the prominent controls make it easy to turn up the volume.

Why it’s a good deal: This is a nice discount if you’re looking for a small speaker to take on the go.

    Coffee Gear

This large-capacity drip coffee maker gets a lot right: It’s simple to program and operate, with an easy-to-use carafe and minimal mess. It has a shower-style mechanism to dispense water over the grounds for even coverage, and you can adjust the strength of the brew. That said, it didn’t quite meet our standards in our brew test in terms of bringing the coffee to a temperature of 195° F to 205° F and maintaining it for 5 to 6 minutes. But Zojirushi as a brand does have top scores for reliability and owner satisfaction for its drip coffee makers. There’s a non-programmable version available, too, that we haven’t tested in our labs. However, since the mechanics of two machines are largely the same, we expect them to perform similarly.

Why it’s a good deal: This is the best price we’ve ever seen for this coffee maker, beating last week’s price by $10.

The Keurig K-Latte Single Serve K-36 can brew both hot coffee and lattes, thanks to its built-in milk frother. It performs well in our tests, especially for its temperature and size consistency between brews. It’s equipped with an auto-shutoff, a height-adjustable drip tray, and a removable water reservoir.

Why it’s a good deal: The sale price for this Keurig recently dipped $16 at Walmart and went on sale at Best Buy for the same low price.

    Cookware

The nonstick cast-aluminum Swiss Diamond frying pan earns an excellent rating for cooking evenness, and our fried eggs didn’t stick. It also earns our top rating for durability, withstanding the punishment of our steel-wool abrasion test. Construction is sturdy, and the handle stays cool to the touch during cooking. You won’t be able to use it on your induction cooktop, however.

Why it’s a good deal: This is a nice discount, and just $10 more than the lowest price we’ve seen for this frying pan.

    Countertop Appliances

This Nutribullet doesn’t pack the punch of some processors, but it performs well with a black and chrome design that will look nice on your countertop. If you’re not a gourmet, it’s all you’ll need (and it’s now $40 off, to boot)—450 watts and three speeds; 7-cup-capacity work bowl; simple push-button controls, and attachments for chopping, slicing, shredding, spiraling, and kneading. It also comes with cord storage and a recipe booklet.

Why it’s a good deal: A sub-$100 price for this food processor is definitely worth a look. It was $10 cheaper during Prime Day, and might dip back down again closer to Labor Day.

Small but mighty, the seven-speed KitchenAid Architect KHM7210 hand mixer performed impressively in our cookie dough mixing test, delivering enough power to fold chocolate chips into stiff cookie dough. Testers liked this model’s easy-to-clean wire beaters, simple controls, and separate whisk attachment (great for scrambling eggs).

Why it’s a good deal: You can still get this hand mixer for its Prime Day discount, which matches the usual sale price.

This NutriBullet doesn’t pack the punch of some processors, but it performs well, with a black and chrome design that will look nice on your countertop. If you’re not a gourmet, it’s all you’ll need (and it’s now $30 off, to boot)—450 watts and three speeds; 7-cup-capacity work bowl; simple push-button controls; and attachments for chopping, slicing, shredding, spiraling, and kneading. It also comes with cord storage and a recipe booklet.

Why it’s a good deal: This is a modest discount, and about $10 more than it was during Prime Day, but you won’t find a lot of food processors under $100 that perform well.

    Baby Products

At 18 pounds, the Chicco Liteway umbrella stroller is compact, simple to use, and folds and unfolds easily. It’s responsive and sturdy, and it maneuvers well for its small size, even on rough terrain. The basket access is limited with the seat reclined, and our diaper bag didn’t fit completely in the basket. The harness also requires some rethreading to adjust. But this stroller earns top marks for safety.

    Why it’s a good deal: A sub-$100 price for a top-rated stroller is always worth a look.

This lightweight stroller is designed to carry a handful of different brands and models of car seats. The car seat is supported and secured by straps on the stroller—so the “snap” is something of a misnomer, but it’s still easy enough to secure and remove. The stroller is fairly simple to fold, though it’s maybe not quite a one-hand fold: Testers found that they needed to use two hands to push the frame down and engage the fold lock. They also found that the stroller pulled a little when they took turns around corners, but it’s a good ride on smooth surfaces.

Why it’s a good deal: This is now a few dollars less than we saw during Prime Day.

There’s no easier design for a baby gate than this Cumbor gate that’s 30.25 inches high. With an auto-close mechanism, you can manipulate it with one hand and won’t have to worry about manually latching it correctly. It aced our tests for convenience, security, and installation, and it fits openings from 29.5 to 46 inches wide.

Why it’s a good deal: This is the usual sale price for this baby gate, and we haven’t seen it dip any lower.

    Tech Devices

Black-and-white laser printers don’t get enough love from everyday shoppers. A machine like the HP LaserJet M209dwe can be far cheaper to operate than almost any inkjet, while spewing out very sharp, clear text at impressive speeds. However, this is a bare-bones machine. It prints only in black-and-white. It’s pretty inept at producing graphics, and it lacks the ability to copy or scan documents.

Oh, and about that six-month deal on cartridges: You’ll need to set up an HP account and maintain the printer’s internet access. (Note that the printer accepts only HP toner cartridges.) If you’re okay with all that, the HP LaserJet M209dwe can be a good deal. What it does, it does extremely well, while consuming a modest corner of a desk—and an even smaller slice of a household budget.

Why it’s a good deal: A reliable printer for less than $100 is rare, but it’s perfect for someone with basic printing needs. The sale price has gone up $10 since last week, but it’s still a great price.

The Fitbit Inspire 2 fitness tracker has been on sale since mid-April, but the price continues to fall. It’s now only $7 more than the lowest we’ve seen all year. It gets top marks from our testers for step count and heart rate accuracy, and it earns a spot among the best fitness trackers for its ease of use, pairing, and readability in low light. The Inspire 2 also has a very generous claimed battery life of 10 days (we don’t test that characteristic) and built-in GPS, a feature not found on many other fitness trackers.

Why it’s a good deal: Walmart still has the same low price we’ve seen for this fitness tracker in recent weeks.

Though the second-generation AirPods don’t get top marks for sound quality in Consumer Reports’ testing, there’s no denying the appeal of these true wireless earphones for many Apple fans—especially at a big discount.

Why it’s a good deal: This is the same sale price that’s been available for some time, but it’s still nice to get AirPods for under $100.

    Smart Home

Philips Hue White and Color Ambiance Smart Lightbulbs

While it’s expensive, we found the Philips Hue smart bulb was hands-down the easiest smart light bulb to work with and offered the most impressive performance in our home evaluation of the best smart lightbulbs. The bulb generates bright, vivid colors and displays a good range of color temperatures, plus it works with Amazon Alexa, Google Home/Assistant, and Samsung SmartThings when paired to a compatible smart speaker or hub. It can be used on its own via Bluetooth, but requires the Philips Hue Bridge for Apple Home/Siri integration and additional functionality.

Why it’s a good deal: With the on-page coupon, this bundle is now nearly $10 less than we saw during Prime Day, a new low price.

Want a battery-powered video doorbell that isn’t made by Amazon or Google? This Arlo model is a great alternative and is currently on sale at the best price we’ve seen. In our tests, it receives high scores for its video quality and data security, but we found it to be a bit slow when it comes to response time for alerts and loading live video feeds. Its features include a rechargeable battery, optional wiring contacts to wire it to a home’s doorbell circuit, high dynamic range for clear video in brightly lit or dark spots, and voice and app control via Amazon Alexa, Google Home/Assistant, and Samsung SmartThings. Cloud video storage and additional features (such as person, package, vehicle, and animal detection) require an Arlo Secure subscription.

Why it’s a good deal: This is half off right now. It’s not quite as impressive as the $70 price we saw for Prime Day, but it’s still a massive savings.

The Eufy T8200 video doorbell is an all-around great option, with strong scores for video quality, response time, and smart features in our tests. Those features include 4 gigabytes of internal memory to save recordings (no monthly fees here!), monitoring zones, person detection, voice control via Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant, and the ability to leave recorded messages for visitors.

Why it’s a good deal: The on-page coupon takes $45 off the price, only a $20 difference from the Prime Day sale.

If you’re looking for an indoor security camera to keep an eye on your pets, our editors found the Arlo Essential Indoor to be a close second to the Furbo dog camera. And even though the Arlo is technically a home security camera, which means it lacks functionalities like tossing treats, it still provides the necessary technology for checking in on your pets. The device’s video angle and video quality are great, and its corresponding app is easy to use. While the setup is a bit tricky—and the privacy shield makes a noise that could alert your pet when it comes on—it does impress as far as sound.

Why it’s a good deal: This is still available for its Prime Day price.

The Bosma Aegis Smart Lock SL0001 receives high scores across the board in our tests, including ease of remote access. This retrofit smart lock also comes with plenty of features, such as auto-locking, auto-unlocking, voice and app control via Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant, electronic keys, an access log, a door open/close sensor, and a tamper alarm to warn you of a possible break-in.

Why it’s a good deal: With the on-page coupon, you’re saving nearly 50 percent.

The ultrasonic cool-mist PureGuardian H3200WAR is among the top-rated humidifiers for medium-sized rooms (300 to 400 square feet), hitting high notes for nearly every performance category we rate: output, convenience, noise, efficiency, and operation using hard water. But it loses points because it doesn’t have a humidistat to measure relative humidity. Online, though, you can buy a hygrometer that does that for less than $10.

Why it’s a good deal: While we’ve seen this humidifier selling for about $10 less in recent weeks, this is still a great discount.

    Gaiam Performance Yoga Mat

This Gaiam performance yoga mat dries very quickly. It offers excellent grip on the floor and on hands and feet but only a fair amount of cushioning.

Why it’s a good deal: This is the same price we saw during the last Prime Day.

    Brooklinen Super-Plush Bath Towels

The Brooklinen Super-Plush bath towels are perfect for anyone who likes a towel as big as a blanket after their shower. These oversized towels are a whopping 53 inches long and 28 inches wide. They were also the most absorbent in our evaluation but took the longest time to dry. There are lots of color options to choose from as well.

Why it’s a good deal: The retailer is offering 15 percent off sitewide right now, giving you a chance to save on these cozy towels. We expect this discount to last through Labor Day.

Cat Mate C3000 Automatic Dog & Cat Feeder, 26-cup Capacity

This automatic feeder allows pet owners to schedule up to three meals a day in any desired quantity. The device has a maximum capacity of 26 cups and can be programmed to give out meals as small as 2 teaspoons.

Why it’s a good deal: This is the standard discount for this feeder. And if you’re a first-time Chewy shopper, you can use the code WELCOME to save $20 on your purchase because it’s over the $49 limit, knocking the price down to $39.99.

    Phomemo M110 Label Maker

The Phomemo M110 is the bigger, bulkier version of the Phomemo D30, which we also tested and liked. The M110 offers a bit more flexibility with the size of the label you’re creating. It uses the same app as well, and has a wide variety of fonts, styles, and images, with quick creation and easy label cutting. Its size, compared with the smaller Phomemo, makes it a bit less portable, and its alignment isn’t as precise when it comes to cutting the label exactly on the cut line compared with other label printers. But it’s still a solid option.

Why it’s a good deal: This is the usual sale price, which comes and goes fairly often.
